Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using Cyntra24. It exists to protect our users, our platform, and the integrity of our community threat database. By using Cyntra24, you agree to comply with this policy.
Permitted Use
Cyntra24 is designed to help individuals and organisations identify potential digital threats. You may use the Service to:
Scan URLs, messages, documents, and QR codes for potential threats.
Submit genuine threat reports to the community database.
Review community reports to stay informed about emerging scams.
Use scan results to make informed decisions about your digital safety.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not use Cyntra24 to:
3.1 Abuse the Scanning Service
Submit an excessive volume of automated scans designed to degrade service performance.
Attempt to extract or reverse-engineer our threat detection algorithms.
Use the Service to test or validate your own malicious URLs, phishing pages, or scam content.
Scan content on behalf of a third party without their knowledge or consent where that content contains personal data.
3.2 Abuse the Community Reports
Submit false, misleading, or fabricated threat reports.
Submit reports targeting legitimate businesses, individuals, or organisations with the intent to harm their reputation.
Submit duplicate reports to artificially inflate threat counts.
Include personal information about identifiable individuals in reports (e.g., names, addresses, photographs) unless that information is directly relevant to documenting a scam (e.g., a scam phone number).
3.3 Compromise Platform Security
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, databases, or infrastructure.
Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without written authorisation.
Introduce malware, viruses, or other malicious code.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks connected to it.
3.4 Violate Laws
Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law.
Use the Service to facilitate fraud, harassment, stalking, or any criminal activity.
Use the Service in connection with money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion.
Rate Limits
To ensure fair access for all users, the Service may enforce rate limits on scan requests. Current limits are published in our documentation. Attempting to circumvent rate limits through multiple accounts, IP rotation, or other means is a violation of this policy.
Community Standards
Community threat reports are a shared resource. When submitting reports, you should:
Be accurate and factual. Include only information you believe to be true.
Be specific. Provide enough detail for others to verify the threat.
Be responsible. Consider whether your report could cause undue harm if the information is incorrect.
Respect others. Do not use reports as a vehicle for personal disputes.
Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
Remove community reports that violate this policy.
Temporarily or permanently restrict access to the Service for users who violate this policy.
Report illegal activity to the relevant authorities.
Take any other action we deem necessary to protect the Service and its users.
Enforcement decisions are made at our sole discretion. We are not obligated to provide advance notice before taking enforcement action, though we will endeavour to do so where practicable.
Reporting Violations
If you believe a user or community report violates this policy, contact us at:
Email: support@cyntra24.com
Include as much detail as possible, including the specific content or behaviour you are reporting.

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email where possible. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
